Math Instructional Lead Teacher
I am so pleased to be the Math Instructional Lead Teacher for Stockbridge Elementary! I have been a paraprofessional for 9 years and a certified teacher for 15 years. I earned my undergraduate and graduate degree from Mercer University. I am a District-Level Math Trainer for the GloSS/IKAN assessments, and have endorsements in both reading, math, and Culturally Proficient Coaching.
In 2005 and 2011 I was honored to be chosen as Teacher of the Year for Smith Elementary in Clayton County. I was also the 2013 Teacher of the Year for Red Oak Elementary. I have been married for 35 years, have 3 daughters, and one grandson.
Math is everywhere and in everything we do. My goal is to be a resource for students, teachers, and parents as we all grow to become more proficient and efficient in math. Please visit my page on the SES website for strategies, videos, websites, and more!
Stockbridge Elementary School is a great place for learning. If you have any questions, please leave a message at the front office or come for a visit after 3:00 P.M. If you need to reach me immediately, email email@example.com.
Let’s have a great school year!
First in Math
This year, our district has purchased an online math support resource called First in Math (FIM). Students will receive login information in the Fall that can be used both at school and home. This is an excellent resource for all K-3 students to practice a multitude of math skills, build fluency, and have fun while earning points. Students who reach the following goals in FIM and Accelerated Reader (AR) will use their points toward earning different prizes. At the end of the year, there is an academic carnival for students who met their goals in both FIM and AR.
