    Building/Cafeteria Visitation Procedures

The faculty and administration of East Lake Elementary welcome you to our school.  We truly believe that East Lake Elementary is wonderful, and we thank you for your interest in either visiting or volunteering to help in our school.  Because of our desire to ensure both a safe and orderly environment, there are some procedures with which we ask all visitors to comply during their visit at ELE.  We appreciate your cooperation with these guidelines and thank you again for your support of our students and school.

Additionally, should you wish to visit your child’s classroom during instructional time, please see the information below for procedures specific to this type of visit.

IT IS OUR WISH THAT ALL VISITORS PLEASE COMPLY WITH THE FOLLOWING GUIDELINES TO PROTECT THE LEARNING ENVIRONMENT AND PREVENT AVOIDABLE DISRUPTIONS THAT ARE DETRIMENTAL TO STUDENT LEARNING AND/OR SCHOOL OPERATIONS:

    1. Please sign-in in the main office and check in with one of our front office staff.
    2. Please alert front office staff to the purpose and location of your visit.
    3. Please remain in the areas specified to front office staff when checking in. Should you need to visit another area of the school, please check in to the front office prior to doing so.
    4. If you are visiting with the purpose of having lunch with your child/children, please note the following specific procedures:
      1. In order to ensure adequate seating for our students and/or adherence to seating charts, please plan on eating with your child/children only, on our stage, at the tables provided.
      2. If and when you are bringing food such as cupcakes, for special occasions such as birthdays, please limit distribution to your child’s table only as trying to select students from other tables to participate and/or have the “extra cupcakes” often confuses and disrupts the other students.

Again, we thank you for your attention to these guidelines and procedures!
