I am so excited to be joining the Ola Middle School family this year.  Even though this year is not starting like we anticipated, I am looking forward to a wonderful year with my 6th and 7th grade students.  Many of you will be familiar faces, but I also look forward to meeting lots of new students.

    A little about me...

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. I am very proud to be at Ola Middle School this year, and I am anticipating a wonderful year with you and your child.

I graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education with an ESOL endorsement and earned my Masters of Science in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment from Walden University.  I added my Gifted Endorsement in April of 2014. I have previously taught 2nd grade, 4th grade, and 5th grade. I am certified to teach elementary, most middle school subjects, and math from elementary through high school.  I am excited to be teaching math to 6th and 7th graders this year and am looking forward to seeing your child achieve more than he/she ever dreamed possible!

I am married with two children. My husband, Ed Griffis, also teaches 6th grade math at Ola Middle School. We have two sons, Ethan and Evan.  They are both full-time college students.

I truly believe that communication is the key to a great parent-teacher-student relationship. I will send regular newsletters via email and will have information on my webpage.

Please feel free to contact me as any questions or concerns may arise. Email is probably the best/fastest way to get a message to me.
