Thanks so much to all the parents that came to pick up your child's device and the bag of materials to start the school year. It was great seeing you and the smiling faces of my new students!! Please encourage your child to place those items in a safe/secure place so they will know where they are for next week.

Greetings! My name is Anita Snead Daniel. I am excited to say that this will be my 26th year of teaching elementary school! I am from Hartwell, Ga. Both of my parents were teachers. They are enjoying retirement to the fullest...especially my mom since she taught for 43 years!!! I have an awesome huusband, an older brother, younger sister, and two awesome nephews!! Preparation for obtaining my teaching degree began at Emmanuel College in Franklin Springs, Ga. I graduated from there with an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education. I went on to attend West Georgia College & State University where I received a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education. From that point, I was hired by the Newton County School System in Covington, Ga. After teaching there for a year, I went back to school to obtain a Master's Degree. I taught 4th grade in the Newton System for 11 years. In 2006, I began at Fairview Elementary School continuing to teach 4th grade for 7 years. As I entered the 2013-2014 school year, I had the opportunity to teach 5th grade. I enjoyed doing that for 2 years. As the 2020-2021 school year begins, I will be teaching 3rd grade for the sixth consecutive year. I am truly excited because I love what I do! Having the opportunity to be a part of the process that helps mold, encourage, an d transition children in the direction of being smarter, more valuable, and more successful individuals is very exciting for me. I close by saying that your child's success is based on three components. Those three are the child, the parent/s, and the teacher. My hope is to effectively encourage my students to thrive in their remote learning environment until we transition back to class where expectations will remain in place. WE are truly better TOGETHER!
