Mission and Motto
The mission of Union Grove High School is to ensure success for each student as measured by individual progress and by local, state, and national standards. We commit to a structured system of support to empower students with 21st Century skills to promote College and Career Readiness.

UGHS will be among the top 5% of Georgia high schools in academic achievement.
The vision of Union Grove High School is to provide a high performing learning environment and promote excellence for all students. Our vision aligns directly with the Henry County Schools’ strategic priorities of Unify, Strengthen, and Ensure. In order to achieve our vision of being among the top five percent of Georgia high schools in academic achievement, we will foster positive and strong relationships with families in the Union Grove community. We will clarify what we teach and what students learn. We will clearly define how we know students are learning by utilizing the Henry County Teaching and Learning Standards and learning progressions. Finally, we will ensure a high performing learning environment for all students by establishing performance objectives and providing high quality and meaningful professional development for our faculty and staff.
School Improvement Goals
Union Grove High School will provide a high performing environment for all students by maintaining a safe and orderly learning environment, consistently building positive relationships, and creating and implementing strategies to engage parents and community members by:
A. Continuing the implementation of "The Wolverine Way" (PBIS) to reduce tardiness to school and class by
5% (Fall 61, Spring 47 students with 5 or more morning tardiness).
B. Increasing the Attendance Rate by 1% over 2018-2019 data. C. Increase the percentage of students with (0-1) discipline referrals by 3% (87% in 2018-2019)
Union Grove High School will strengthen the core business of student learning by utilizing research-based instructional strategies and strategic collaborative planning to increase the percentage of students scoring Distinguished Learner on the GA Milestones by 2% in English, Math, Science, and Social Studies.
Union Grove High School will ensure a high performing learning environment for all students and strengthen the core business of learning by increasing the percentage of Students with Disabilities (SWD) scoring Beginning Learner to Developing Learner and Developing Learner to Proficient Learner on the GA Milestones by 2% in English, Math, Science, and Social Studies.
