UGHS made the Washington Post Most Challenging High School list once again!!!
Congratulations UGHS! We had a 3.4% increase in our 2014 graduation rate. We graduated an outstanding 94% from the class of 2014!
UGHS recognized as a 2014 AP Merit, AP STEM and AP STEM Achievement School.
UGHS students take part in the Congressional Art Competition of Representative David Scott. Art work from Representatives Scott’s districts included work from several prominent Fine Arts Schools. There were 91 pieces in all and after blind judging, over half of the finalists were from UGHS!
Jason Lin of UGHS is one of two students from Henry County Schools to be selected.
UGHS football player Zac Graham received the George Morris Scholar Student-Athlete Scholarship from the Touchdown Club of Atlanta for his accomplishments on and off the field.
Montana Ray and AJ Spencer were named as finalist for the annual AIA (American Institute of Architects) Atlanta High School Design Challenge competition.
Ragan Pollock competed against 138 senior cheerleaders across Georgia in the first portion of the competition based on the scholarship application. The UGHS NJROTC Brain Brawl Academic Team competed in the National Championship in Daytona Beach. They were on the only school in the nation to qualify three schools. The teams finished ranked #2, #5, and #13 in the nation!
