  • Commencement Scheduled for 2012 Graduates

    LHS Seniors are nearing the completion of their high school career and are preparing for Exams, Baccalaureate, and Graduation Services. Please read the attached document providing critical information for Seniors and their families.

  • Proper Graduation Attire

    Senior Graduation Attire: Each senior is required to wear the Jostens’ Cap and Gown Ensemble at the Baccalaureate and Graduation Services. With this ensemble, males should wear black shoes, DRESS black slacks, white shirt, and tie. With this ensemble, females should wear a Dress with BLACK SHOES.

  • Congratulations!

    We are so proud to announce that two or our seniors, Chanel Chauvet and Angelo Mirville, have earned an Associate’s Degree in Integrated Studies from Clayton State University through the Dual Enrollment Program. Both students participated in the program during their junior and senior year and graduated from Clayton State on May 5, 2012. This is a first for Luella High School! They also maintained a 3.0 GPA or higher while enrolled in the DEP program. Chanel and Angelo will receive their high school diplomas on May 25, 2012. Way to go, Chanel and Angelo!!!

  • CTAE Mock Interviews

    Luella Career, Technical, and Agriculture Education students participated in mock interviews this week. This event was the first of what is to become an annual event as part of the CTAE curriculum for students. CTAE teachers taught units on the employment process, resume preparation, job applications, and the interview process. Interviews were conducted by local business owners and community leaders in the hopes of preparing students to enter the job market with some practical experience.   • Honors Assemblies

    Luella High will be honoring the academic achievements of our students later this Spring. The Senior Assembly is scheduled for Monday, May 21 at 10 AM, Sophomore and Junior Assembly will be Tuesday, May 22 at 6:30 PM. and the Freshman Assembly is scheduled for May 21 at 1:35 PM. Check back for updates.

In observance of Prevent Child Abuse: Pinwheels for Prevention, the lawn in front of the school has been decorated with pinwheels!  Many of the pinwheels were made by the Early Childhood Education class!

The Pinwheels for Prevention™, Prevent Child Abuse America's campaign introduces the pinwheel as the new symbol for child abuse and neglect prevention nationwide.

The pinwheel represents Prevent Child Abuse America's efforts to change the way our nation thinks about prevention, focusing on community activities and public policies that prioritize prevention right from the start to make sure child abuse and neglect never occur.

Nearly 900,000 pinwheels have been displayed since April 2008. Join us by bringing Pinwheels for Prevention to your community!
