The SkillsUSA chapter at Union Grove High School was recently named among the top 24 SkillsUSA chapters nationally as a “Model of Excellence” recipient.
Congratulations to Ms. Angie Keiser, UG Healthcare Science teacher for achieving state recognition. According to the Georgia Department of Education, when a program becomes industry certified, it receives a “stamp of excellence” which represents the apex of program quality.
Jessica Moore and Katie Gwaltney took home third-place honors including a $1,500 prize for their research in the category of “Earth and Environmental Sciences: An Enzymatic Approach to Treating Colony Collapse Disorder in Pollinating Bee Populations as a Result of Neonicotinoid Pesticides.”
