The Henry County School System's reputation for excellence continues to attract record numbers of students, with an enrollment over 40,000 students. There are 50 existing schools in Henry County, 1 alternative school, Patrick Henry Middle and High with the South campus located in Ola and the North campus located in Stockbridge, and one evening academy located at the Patrick Henry High North Campus.
During the Fall 2009 semester, Clayton State and Gordon College began offering college-level courses at the new Academy for Advanced Studies in McDonough at Henry County High School.
