Kindergarten Early Registration

 

 

Henry County Elementary Schools will have their annual early registration for kindergarten students from May 7-11, 2012. During this time parents may register their children who are or will be 5 by September 1, 2012 for Kindergarten. Parents must provide a copy of their child’s birth certificate at the time of enrollment.

 

In addition, parents must provide a certificate that their child has completed an eye, ear, and dental examination. (GA Form #3300) All new entrants to Henry County Schools must have obtained (2) doses of the MMR (Mumps) and Varicella (Chicken Pox) vaccines (GA Form #3231).

 

Finally, the following records will be accepted as proof of residency, which parents will also need to bring to registration.  

 

  1. A current and valid lease or rental agreement and two current utility bills (gas, electric, water, sanitation, or cable). Records must include the name and street address of the parent/guardian. Rental agreements must identify the parent/guardian as the tenant of record fiscally responsible for the residence. Persons listed as occupants of a stated residence are not considered tenants for the purposes of this policy.

OR

 

  1. A current property tax statement, settlement statement, or homestead exemption notice and two current utility bills (gas, electric, water, sanitation, or cable). Records must include the name and street address of the parent/guardian.

OR

  

  1. An Affidavit of Residency, signed and executed by authorized personnel of Henry County Schools. A parent/guardian who resides full time in Henry County, but is unable to provide the records listed above, may complete a Henry County Schools Affidavit of Residency at the school system administrative offices in McDonough.
