Report Cards
Kindergarten - 5th Grade

Student progress in kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grades is reported using standards-based report cards.  At this time, 5th grade continues to use the traditional report card. The implementation of standards-based report cards in Henry County Schools is indicative of the belief that the report card should communicate efficiently and effectively what students are expected to know and be able to do as set forth in the state curriculum, the Common Core Georgia Performance Standards. The standards-based report card provides more detailed and accurate feedback to parents regarding their child’s progress towards mastery of specific learning standards at their grade level. The report card will provide students, parents, teachers and administrators the opportunity to know what is expected of students and “how good is good enough” supported through the usage of subject area rubrics.
