  • The PSAT and PLAN score interpretation for students and parents is here again. If your Tenth Grade student took the PSAT and PLAN this year you are invited to attend an informational meeting to go over the scores and what they mean for your student. The meeting will be held on February 3 at 6:00 PM in our Media Center and should last one hour. Please plan to attend.

  • If you would like to be a member of the LGHS Yearbook staff next year, you must request the course, fill out an application and be approved. Applications are available outside Ms. Lewis’s room, 222, and are due February 13.

  • If you want to guarantee that you get a yearbook, you must order it online or through Ms. Lewis by January 31. It must also be ordered by January 31 if you want it personalized. Books will only be available for $100 cash only upon delivery after this point.

  • The LGHS Date for Academy for Advanced Studies Registration is February 10 from 5 pm to 8 pm at the AAS campus in McDonough.

  • Prom tickets are on Sale at lunch NOW through February 27 for $90 per ticket, $170 for a pair. If you are paying with a check, be sure your phone number is written at the top.

Club Meetings & Info

  • The Anime Club is up and running! The next meeting will be Thursday, February 5, from 3:30-4:30 in the Media Center. See Mrs. Bowen or Ms. Nanry for questions.

  • On January 27 the Spanish National Honors Society will have a mandatory meeting for all members at 3:35 p.m. in Mrs. Reyes' room (218).

  • Congratulations to our band students who placed in District 6 Honor Band: Alex King 1st percussion, John Scott 1st alternate, Brenden DeArman 11th trumpet, Jeremy Hall 3rd trombone, Tyler Hanson 14th trumpet, and Drew Lance, 9th trombone. Way to go! Congratulations also to Alex King for making the All State Band!

  • Prom is coming up and if you haven't asked that special someone, it's time to find the perfect way! Yearbook wants to see your best promposals!
