National Jr. Beta Club Pledge
I hereby declare that I shall always strive
To be honest and truthful at all times;
To maintain a creditable scholastic record;
To be of service to my teachers and fellowmen;

Upon my school and community.

The National Junior Beta Club recognizes outstanding achievement, promotes character and social responsibility, encourages service involvement to school and community, fosters leadership skills, grants scholarships, and provides settings for your child to develop interpersonal relationship skills.

Vision Statement

The National Beta club, a student-centered organization, continually develops and nurtures individuals by providing opportunities and experiences enabling them to demonstrate the ideals of character, achievement, service and leadership in the global community. The National Beta Club has worked with over six million young people in grades 5-9 (Junior Beta Club) and grades 9-12 (Senior Beta Club). There are now more than 420,000 active members and more than 8,000 clubs nationally and internationally.

To promote the ideals of academic achievement, character, service and leadership among elementary and secondary school students.

 Our motto: Let Us Lead by Serving Others

Membership:
Junior Beta Club members will be 5th grade students who have maintained a B average in all academic areas for the 1st nine weeks. In addition, students inducted into the Junior Beta Club  must be recommended by their classroom teacher and can not earn N's or U's in the areas of conduct or work habits as indicated on their report card. Eligible students will receive invitations in August, which will be followed by an induction ceremony. The membership fee of $40 includes $15 to join the National Beta Club, $17 for Jr. Beta t-shirt and polo shirt, and $8 to join the ARE Jr. Beta Club local chapter.  Some of our service projects for the 2012-2013 Year:

Visiting Nursing Homes
Hands on Henry
Helping at the Local Food Pantry
