Parent Volunteer Program Guidelines
We welcome and encourage parent involvement at Walnut Creek Elementary. Every little bit of time you give, makes a BIG difference in our school and most importantly benefits our children. We have parent volunteers come in Monday- Friday to assist grade levels with copying and other various tasks.
Volunteer leads, please make every effort to be here during the day and time that you signed up for. If you can not make it, please email Drema McCoy at dmccoy@henry.k12.ga.us.
Here are the following guidelines that help our volunteer program run smooth and efficiently.
Upon arrival, please sign in at the front office.
Please wear your name badge at all times.
Assist only those teachers who have filled out paperwork.
Be respectful of your children’s teacher’s instructional time by scheduling a conference if you have a concern.
Don’t hesitate to ask a question if you need help or assistance. The office personnel will assist you in whatever way they can.
Lunch is provided on the days you volunteer; please make sure you bring your name badge to the lunchroom. Feel free to eat with your child on the stage or in the lounge with other volunteers.
Respect the confidentiality of teachers and students if you hear discussion of school related matters.
