Homework Procedures: Your child will have Math, Reading, and Vocabulary homework every night. Homework is a reinforcement of the week"s standards that we are learning in the classroom. Reading and Math will be front to back on one sheet, while spelling assignments are copied on the back of our weekly newsletter.
Reading Homework: We ask that all students read every night for 20 minutes, for a total of 80 minutes a week. We understand that the reading assignments given for Science and Social Studies will not take the entire 20 minutes, so please make sure your child is reading something else to obtain the 20 minute reading goal. THANKS!
Study Hall: Study hall takes place each day during recess time for 20 minutes. Study hall is for those students who do not complete or turn in homework, do not complete class assignments, or are having difficulty following rules and procedures of the classroom and school.
Newsletter: A monthly third grade newsletter is sent home in your child's B.E.E. Notebook. Please be sure to read this informational newsletter!
