The Henry County Schools Nutrition Department operates a program that encourages student and adult participation while serving nutritious meals at a reasonable cost. All school nutrition managers receive 30 hours of training-in-depth to assist them in implementing a new menu plan that increases the fruit and vegetable requirement as well as the bread and grains requirement. All employees also receive 12 hours in-service training. In addition, employees new to the school nutrition program receive 30 additional hours of training through the Orientation for Nutrition Employees course.
