| Woodland Elementary's Junior Beta Club ![]() Students are nominated by their fifth grade teachers based on their record of academic excellence, citizenship, and leadership qualities. In order to be nominated, students must have had all As for the last semester of 4th grade, and must have all As for the first nine weeks of school. Letters of nomination will be sent home after the first report cards go home. The National Beta Club does charge dues, and students will be expected to pay for membership. A formal induction ceremony, followed by a reception, will be held in the fall. Invitations will be sent home prior to the event. Jr. Beta members will be expected to participate in activities. Some may require Saturday hours, and meetings, as needed will be held afterschool. Students must maintain good grades and good behavior to remain a member of the Jr. Beta Club. The Jr. Beta Club sponsors for 2011-2012 are Mrs. Lawrence and Mr. LaSalata. Please feel free to contact us with any questions, concerns, or ideas for service projects. | ||||
