School History

Luella High School, home of the Luella Lions, is a high school in Henry County, Georgia, USA, that opened July, 2003. The school is one of nine high schools in Henry County. In the summer of 2003, it opened with approximately 1150 students in grades 9, 10, and 11, and approximately 100 employees. The projected enrollment for the 2011-12 school year is approximately 2100 students in grades 9, 10, 11, and 12.

Henry County, Georgia, is located in the north central portion of the state of Georgia. Located within 20 miles of Atlanta, Georgia, it is an suburban area that is growing at a rapid pace. With a booming 103% growth from 1990 – 2000, Henry County was ranked 4th in the United States in population growth.
