LEARNING AND LEADERSHIP SERVICES / Overview

Welcome to the Learning and Leadership Services website. This site is designed to be a starting point for information about Curriculum, Instruction, Assessment, and Leadership in Henry County. As Georgia transitions to the Common Core Georgia Performance Standards in the next three years, we will make updated changes to the site. You will see that the curriculum for some disciplines fully reflects the new Georgia Performance Standards (GPS), while others are a combination of the GPS and the Quality Core Curriculum.

The curriculum is shared in a scope and sequence format. This will allow you to easily view the focus of instruction, learning and assessment throughout the school year. The curriculum maps developed for all grades and subjects display each standard that will be implemented throughout the year. The performance standards, enclosed in a box, serve as a link to the interpretation of that standard. Please note that this curriculum and this website are continually developing and modifications may be made frequently.
