Greetings to each of you!
My name is Cassandra Doss and I serve as the Parent Involvement Professional (PIP) at Stockbridge Elementary School. This is my first year as the PIP at SES. I am overjoyed to be a part of such a great school of student body, faculty, parents & guardians. I am super excited to develop a strong relationship with our parents and the community supporters. As your PIP for the 2016-2017 school year, my primary aim is to be an effective advocate for our parents/guardians. My goal is to bridge the gap between school and home and strengthen our students’ academic achievement: To develop a stronger trust with the school and understanding of the school’s message. Families and school staff are equal partners in decisions that affect children and we must work together. Throughout the school year we will offer dynamic Lunch & Learn workshops and provide educational material for our families. I would love to meet you and discuss ways of how you may get involved. I am located inside the Parent Resource Center, Room 149. My office hours are from 7:50am – 2:15 pm & after hours by appointment. I am passionate to support and encourage the parents/ guardians as they nurture the child. Therefore, I invite you to come and take a tour of our PRC which was created with you in mind. Our center is filled with educational resources that may be checked out by parents/ guardians to assistance in the learning process. Research has proven that parental involvement is the key ingredient in the success and development of the students. Therefore, your help is vitally important. I have an open door policy that allow parents/ guardians an opportunity to ask any questions or to gain information on becoming a volunteer. Thank you in advance for your support this school year. I can’t wait to meet you and together we will strive, exceed and succeed!
