Notes from the nurse

I'm Connie McGraw the School Nurse. My goal as the health professional is to promote care, health, and well being to the students here at Cotton Indian. Please be aware that my workday is spilt between Cotton Indian and Stockbridge Middle School. I'm here at Cotton Indian daily from 7:30 AM to 1:00 PM.

Medicine

When students need to take medicine at school, parents should bring medicine and related equipment to the front office.

A Medication Authorization Form must be completed.

All medications prescribed and over the counter should be in its original container. The student's name should be affixed to the container.

All prescription and over the counter medicines must be kept in the nurse's office.

Students who have severe asthma are allowed to carry inhalers on their person. However, a release form is required releasing the school from liability if the inhaler is not available. I recommend a back up inhaler be kept in the nurse's office.
