Dr. Consolie was born and raised in Geneva, New York. She received her Bachelor of Science from The State University of New York at Geneseo. After teaching Kindergarten for a year in Rochester, New York, she and her husband, Bill, moved to the Atlanta area where she began teaching for Henry CountySchools in 1988. After teaching elementary school for six years, she became a Middle School Assistant Principal and served in that capacity for another six years. During that period of time, Dr. Consolie attended West Georgia College, Georgia State University, and the University of Georgia where she attained her Masters Degree, her Specialists Degree, and her Doctorate, respectively. In 2000, she was named Principal of Austin Road Elementary and remained there for six years until taking over at Timber Ridge Elementary. She and her husband of 23 years have two sons, Jack and Anthony. Making Timber Ridge Elementary and its students the best in Henry County is that for which Dr. Consolie and the entire staff strive.
On a personal note, I am proud to say that I am a product of the Department of Family and Children Services. I was placed in Foster Care when I was five and lived in multiple homes until I was adopted at the age of eight. Without a doubt, my past has made me who I am today and I thank God for placing me in a loving and caring home! I have been married for almost 28 years to Ben Carmichael and both of our families are from Henry County. We have 3 beautiful daughters – Sally, Anna, and Emily. Sally, a Pharmacist, is married and lives in Macon. Anna recently graduated from UGA and will be attending graduate school at Georgia State in the Fall majoring in Speech and Language Pathology. Emily is attending Kennesaw State and is planning to major in Occupational Therapy. I can be reached by email at Susie.Carmichael@henry.k12.ga.us or by phone at 770-288-3237. Please feel free to either call, email or stop by to see me if you ever have any questions or concerns. I look forward to this opportunity that has been placed before me! My goal is to make these the best years of your child’s education!
