Meet Our Counselors
Tyisha Scott, M.Ed., CAMS
Counselor for students grades K-2
Hello everyone! I'm Tyisha Scott an Atlanta native. Being a counselor for the past nine years has been a wonderful learning experience. I've enjoyed meeting people where they are daily in order to help students, teachers, and administrators continue to strive for success. Serving students in grades K-2 is exciting because I watch them grow from the very beginning and then watch them complete their elementary experience. While continuing to pursue my professional licensure this year I have also become a certified anger management specialist. The 2016-2017 school year will be filled with many adventures and exciting times! Glad to be working with you and your family. Please contact me ANYTIME!
Counselor for students grades 3-5
Hello everyone! My name is Tameka McCrae-Edgecombe. You can call me Mrs. E. for short! I am a Florida native. This is my 8th year as a Counselor at Red Oak Elementary and I am happy to serve you! I earned a Masters from Emory University and Specialist in School Counseling from Argosy University. In addition to being a school counselor, I am also a licensed psychotherapist. I have worked in the school system since 1998. I enjoy being a resource by helping children and families to reach their greatest potential. I believe great things can be accomplished for children when we; parents, teachers, and community work together. When I am not at school, I can be found spending quality time with my husband and two kids, writing, listening to music, and doing silly dances- just for fun! Please feel free to contact me.
