The mission of the Mount Carmel's Counseling Department is to facilitate the academic, career, and personal social development of All students as a way to ensure the educational success for each student.
 
Philosophy
 
The Counseling Department of Mount Carmel Elementary strives to develop the attitude, skills and knowledge of all students with the aim of ensuring that each student will be on the track to move from good to great and be college and career ready
 
As a school counselor I will:
  • Collaboratively work with and advocate for all stakeholders
  • Provide students with a comprehnsive counseling and guidance services foucsed on the areas of academic, career and persoal social development
  • Meet the indvidual needs of all students resulting in an understanding of self and others
  • Use data in the development, implementation and assessment of the counseling program
  • Commit to the belief that all students will learn at high levels
