Welcome Hawk Family!  My name is Jolie Hardin and this is my first year as principal of McDonough Elementary.  I am thrilled to be here and work with such an amazing staff who will help every student in our building achieve academic greatness!
 
Before moving to Henry County, I served as an elementary principal for eight years in the Houston County School System.  Prior to that, I was an assistant principal at a middle and elementary school in the same district.
 
Each year I have been in the field of education has shown me remarkable achievements in students from all backgrounds and all learning levels.  The staffs I have been able to lead have displayed a tremendous passion for enhancing learning opportunities for their classes.  The parents of the various school communities have played integral parts in creating a positive learning culture.
 
In the short time I have been at MES, I have seen a level of commitment from the staff and enthusiasm from our parents that is necessary for us to reach our goals as a school and fulfill the mission of our school district.
 
For our students to achieve great things, we must all work together and be on the same page, so please know that I am here to help answer any questions you may have.
