Purpose
The purpose of the Georgia Peach Award is to highlight and promote the best current young adult literature for Georgia high school age students, to encourage young adults to read and to promote the development of cooperative school and public library services for young adults. Teens vote for their favorite books out of the year's top 20 nominees at http://georgiapeachaward.org                                        

Goals

  • To encourage Georgia young adults in grades 9-12 to recognize and read quality literature appropriate to their needs, interests, and reading levels.
  • To honor outstanding works in young adult literature.
  • To recognize authors in the field of young adult literature.
  • To develop cooperative school and public library services to teens.

Publix Partners Card
Union Grove High School Media Center is a partner with Publix. Each time you shop at a Publix, show your card to the cashier and a portion of your total is donated to our school media program. If you don't have a card, you may pick one up at a local Publix, the school media center or contact your child's teacher. Thanks to the managers at Publix for all of their support.
