Dear Students and Parents,
 
First of all, welcome to the seventh grade at Luella Middle School!  This is my fifteenth year of teaching and my seventh year at Luella Middle School.  I received my Bachelor's degree from the University of Iowa in Elementary Special Education, and I also have my Master's degree in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment from Walden University.  I began my teaching career in Nebraska teaching K-6 Special Education Resource, and then I returned to Iowa, got married, and stayed home to raise children for the next 15 years.  In 1997, my family moved to Henry County, and I returned to teaching as a substitute for a year, then began teaching full time again in 1998 at Hampton Elementary School.  I moved to Luella Elementary School as a 5th grade teacher for one year when it opened, and transferred to Luella Middle School the following year, where I have been ever since with a 6 month break in the Spring of 2008 while I joined my husband overseas in the country of Georgia.  I was excited to return to LMS.
 
When I go home, I head to Fayetteville, where I share my home with my husband, two of our six children, and our three cats and two dogs!  We stay quite busy.
