My name is Kasey Guimarin, and I am the media specialist here at Hickory Flat. Before becoming a media specialist, I taught 6th grade language arts for five years. I chose to move to the media center because I feel that fostering a love of reading is the first step toward a top-notch education. Working in the media center gives me the opportunity to encourage reading, teach research skills, and work with the entire school in many different capacities.
I have always worked in Henry County, and this is where my husband, myself, and our three children call home. When I am not at work, I enjoy spending time with my family. You can usually find us at the baseball or football field.
My name is Becky Baker, and I have been the paraprofessional in the media center since Hickory Flat opened in 1996. I feel that it is my job not only to foster a love of reading in our students, but to make sure that they know how to use a media center. Best of all, I LOVE MY JOB!
