Arts Alive March 29, 2013 |
Arts Alive is coming to LES March 29th! Arts Alive is a celebration for the students of LES! We celebrate the arts and student's participation in the arts. March is National Youth Art Month and National Music in Our School Month. Here at LES we want our students to know that their creativity in visual arts, music, drama, creative writing, and more is important to us! We encourage them to explore it as they growth as a person. The arts provide ways to see, think, and problem solve that other disciplines do not offer. Our 10th annual culminating event, Art Alive, will be on March 29, 2013 where the students will participate in a fine arts day!We will have presenters and volunteers with special help from LHS. Now is the time to think about signing up to participate and help to support the arts at LES! Arts Alive is an annual event. If you want to get in on the action please read the information below... How can you be involved? There are many ways for you to be involved! Volunteer to help on our Arts Alive Day! Send Mrs. Thompson, art teacher, an email at thompsonc@henry.k12.ga.us to let us know you want to be in on the fun! Parent volunteers are needed to help:
With the size of our school we usually need 55 - 60 adult volunteers for the day of our event; parents, grandparents, aunts, and uncles are all welcome! If you can help in any capacity we want you! If you are a professional or amateur in the arts, music, or dramatic arts you could present your love of the arts to our students on our fine arts fun day, the fourth Friday in March, March 29, 2013! Opportunities abound to be involved in this great arts event here at LES. Please email Christine Thompson, art teacher, at thompsonc@henry.k12.ga.us for more information or to sign up!!! |
