Welcome to Fourth Grade
This has been a great start for our class room this year.  I am so glad that to have each student in the classroom.  So far, we have accomplished a lot of learning.  We will accomplish much more.  We are busy every day.
 
We have established classroom rules, and we have practiced the routines and the procedures in our class. 
The first seven weeks of school have gone by quickly.  We are finishing the book Who is Neil Armstrong?  We will have an assessment after the break.  Students who have not completed the book may borrow a book and return it after the fall break.  We have studied parts of speech and conventions this nine weeks.  We have studied and practiced the Writing Process.  This study of writing and conventions will continue all this year. 
In Social Studies, we have finished the Native American unit of study.  Next nine weeks, we will studey the explorers and the first settlements in the New World.
September 24 - 28 is Fall Break.  No school for the week.  Be safe.
