Congratulations to DMS’ 8th Grade Girls for winning the Henry County Championship
2011!!! 
 
Our 8th Grade Boys captured the 3rd place trophy. Both Girl teams (7th and 8th grade) went UNDEFEATED the entire SEASON and WON COUNTY CHAMPIONS!  
Special thanks for the hard work of Coach Burroughs, Coach Bailey, and Coach Brown!

Dutchtown Middle School Receives Platinum Award
Last week, DMS was awarded the highest honor, from the Governor's Office of Student Achievement, for making great gains on state assessments under the Single Statewide Accountability System (SSAS). The minimum requirements include: making AYP for 3 consecutive years, >35% of students exceeding standards, 98th percentile of greatest gains, using the results of the most recent two years of the CRCT.  The Governor's Office issued a press release last week and will provide a banner for the school. Dr. McCray is indeed proud of the school's accomplishment and credits the teachers and students for this success!
