WELCOME BACK! We are looking for a colorfully creative semester in the PANTHER ART STUDIO! We need your help! We need to collect 2000+ plastic bottle caps from soda bottles, juice bottles, gatorade or anyother type of bottle that has a plastic lid! We will be creating a one of kind art piece in November at our FIRST ANNUAL FAMILY ART NIGHT! This special night will give you the opportunity to create along side your young artist!

ABOUT ME:  My name is Jennifer Christian and I am thrilled to be at UGE this semester teaching art. This is my 5th year at UGES! It is my 15th year teaching art and my 7th year in Henry County! I earned my B.A. in Art Education from Mercer University, my Master's degree in Clinical Art Therapy from Long Island University, and my Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from Lincoln Memorial University.
 
I live in neighboring Newton County with my husband, Robby and my preschooler daughter, Kloe. Of course, I can't forget my sweet doggie, Zemi who has been with me since I moved to Georgia 11 years ago from Nashville, Tennessee. In addition to being an art teacher, I have also practiced as an art therapist within various community settings. I also love to create silver jewelry, paint murals (especially playrooms and nurseries!), and at one time even dreamed of being a "window dresser" (you know, the people who make retail stores look so inviting and make you spend your money!). My hobbies include golf, running, and reading.
 
This year or rather semester is going to be full of excitement in the art room. Please feel free to stop by anytime and check out what your student is doing in my class. Or if you have a desire to volunteer, you are always welcome!
