AP CHEMISTRY (Informational Brochure)
Is a course geared toward highly motivated students with interests in chemical and physical science as well as any of the biological sciences. if your future career interest is to be a Doctor, Pharmacist, Chemist, Scientist, Nurse, Dentist etc. then this is the class for you. This course is a college level course similar to the one you will take your first year of college as a Freshman, and upon receiving a 3, 4 or 5 on the AP exam, you may receive college credit.
For more information on taking an AP course go to:
HONORS CHEMISTRY (Informational Brochure) This course is the beginning of the study of matter and all the changes that it undergoes. A few of the objectives you will learn are; how to name compounds, write chemical formulas, predict products from a chemical reaction and determine the chemical quantities of a reaction. You will also learn how chemistry influences your life and the changes that are happening now that will affect you in the future.
As mentioned above if your goal is to further your education in the sciences, plan to take AP chemistry next year and make sure to keep your notes and learn all the lesson taught in Honors Chemistry.
